I just googled FLIEGERFAUST, wow weird looking weapon and one I haven't seen before, interesting concept bit like a Gatling gun I suppose.

not to forget the
stg44 with GEBOGENEM LAUF or bowed barrel
or the stg44 with infrared VAMPIRE nightsight
or the VG-1 Volkssturmkarabiner
or the Gustloff Volkspistole
or Panzerwurfgranate
the last ones where all used at Volkssturm as last stand of men and material
all in one interesting weaponry as figure idea-this and alone the endless uniforms in camoufalge and differenet cut hows rewarding modelling stuff.
cheers

Markus i am going to take note of all these suggestions you are putting forward for me to think about, Volkssturmfigure could be interesting to do!

Hi Steve,

Have you considered producing large scale figures as cold cast bronze statuettes??

The reason I ask is that you have the potential to increase the size of your market by offering something that non-modellers may want to buy. Many former servicemen love to have a bronze statuette representing their regiment/unit,but don't have any interest or ability to makeone themselves.

Naked Army do a range of 1/6th scale cold cast bronze statuettes which can also be painted as figures for those people crazy enough to do so.

Just thought I'd throw this idea at you before you make up your mind.

Tony really good point mate and I am well aware of the naked army range as my parents have one and they are impressive, I was thinking of going along the bronze route in the future for some sculpts but hadn't thought of cold cast. It would mean maybe focussing on modern era figures for this scale although ww2 is still an option, sadly most people before this period are no longer with us.
I have to admit I love a well painted figure but bronze has its own beauty for me.

Take care mate,

Hi Steve,

given any thought out to other services. para military stuff?

such as Firefighters?

in Australia, getting/ using badges or similar is less of a hassle for the fire fighters then the police forces, goodness knows about Ambulance crews......

Or perhaps crewman for the lifeboat institute?

I know that military figures will be the focus, because dollars have to be earned, just thinking of ways to branch out/ diversify?

cheers

that is definitely a possibility for the future Jamie as they are just as proud of their job as a soldier is and would look at something to display to their visitors.
Cant say I have seen much in the line of fire service or police within the U.k anyway.

Cheers

Just seen the 200mm Paratrooper in 120minis website and it looks pretty good- just plucking up courage to order it.

Yes I have seen that one Rob, very impressive sculp, I just wasn't sure whether enough people have interest in this larger scale due to being too daunting to paint.

Hey Ryally
Yes it will be a full figure on a Vignette roof top. "Fallujah" that will come with the kit.
The Barrett 50 cal. will also have a CNC Brass Barrel too. The gun came out great. Makes a big differences with the metal barrel.. It's going to have a lot of action in the figure.
Alan Ball & myself are working on the fig. Hopefully we will have it in a few months..
I am finishing up a 1/9 scale British Royal Marine with AS-80 in "Afghanistan".
I will post photo's of the figure very soon.
It will also be on a Vignette base that will come with the kit..
Will keep you posted..

Cheers,

Andy
