Hi planet people,
I'm. Currently working on troop54 23 welsh grenadier regiment at Minden
Very nice figure, loads of colors.
I found uniform reference on a website but I still lack precise ref for the shoulder patch as per the Pic, still in black.
Is there any specialist here would could help me?

Keep painting
Julien

Hi, Julien, I have Carl Franklin's "British Army Uniforms From 1751 to 1783", and find it a good, extensive reference.
On the page for the 23rd Regiment of Foot (Royal Welch Fusiliers), (p. 268), he has a schematic of the grenadier's coat from 1755, which would have been worn at Minden, and the strap is red, not black. It is the same color as the coat. I'm confident of his research, but I will defer to others with better sources or arguments.
I'll see if I can take a picture of the page and upload it.
I'll check at our Seven Years War project at Kronoskaf, too, and see what we show there.
Prost!
Brad

Hi Guys,
You rock big time. Thanks a lot for the missing reference. I think I'll go for the "other Rank's Lace" as I like difficulty..
The lace on the dress itself are quite complexes in terms of colours. So far I used that site for the ref:

Very useful ! but untorutnately the shoulder patch details was missing.
I'll try to post pics of the progresses n the figre tonight

thanks a again guys !
best,
Julien

That's a treat for the eye's, superb facial tones and the lace details very well painted, not that easy in this scale, well done.
