Completed 24th Drummer Boy - "Dear Mother"

Hi All,
Whilst tinkering with my Viking I have decided to complete this piece. I bought the original master of Steve ak.a. valiant thanks mate, with the intention of changing him to a 24th drummer boy.
I have redone the head one with a Glengarry and the other a foreign service helmet, the uniform has also been completely changed. I have also reengineered the kit from 4 pieces originally to 8 pieces including the additional head. This will make it easier to cast and clean up prior to assembly.

I showed this at our club meet on Friday and my mate Pete Watson fell in love with him and offered to do the box art. I could not say no as Pete loves this period also. So as soon as I get him cast I'll be sending one off.

Hope you like the changed figure. As soon as I have costs and stock I will put him up in the figure section. The scale is 1/16.

This is a great little piece, you could imagine the little chap sitting in the grass just nearby where the they're setting up camp at Isandlawana. Love it.

Fantastic Richie, I love it especially with the Glengarry. I prefer the Glengarry to the Foreign Service Helmet as the Helmet appears a bit pointed towards the top!
