PS ...After looking at Mr Briggs version and references...I need to add the top of the shirt collarshowi g around the neck .....bugger ! .....cue sounds of a sobbing man mixing some putty !

Loving this Kev, the face is superb, especially the eyes. The shirt was cast into the collar so I'm guessing you ripped it out, if the is room between the neck and collar could you slide a length of plastic card or paper in there rather than putty?

I used quite a bit of Vallejo Dark Grey on the lace to get some contrast where it overlaps etc. All told a stunning bust, wish I'd been brave enough to do the conversion.

Cheers Simon

Cheers Simon , appreciate the comments , I didn’t even think of the shirt showing ...too fast with the razor saw !....I have added putty , will wait and see how it looks and go from there

On lace I used a Black Gray and a touch of midnight blue .....it’s getting there but think once the blues done will readjust if needed

That's looking awesome Nap, I like the tweaks you've made and the hat is very smart.

Thank you Stefan for the hat comment ...I like to tweak a bit !

Coming on marvelously, Nap.
Melanie

That is a fabulous conversion, and very nicely painted.
It's nice to know I'm not the only one who forgets to paint in the eyebrows. I pretty much do that on every figure/bust. :D

Malc

Nice one Kev, you do make things hard for yourself re working the figure when already well.in progress. At least you remembered the eye brows but you have to do a tutorial on how you make them move like that!

Cheers Simon

Thanks Simon ...your not wrong , next won’t have no rework mid benchtime! ...eyebrows will be interesting ..but closing your eye fast work ...lol

That collar is a nice touch, looks good. I love those photos. I don't know what the guy in the first photo was thinking - that hat is not helping his martial image:D

Bust update ....started working on the main ( haversack ) strap .....hoping to finish this bust off in the next coup,e of days ....nameplate is ready and waiting

Do you think that's an issued hat? I presumed it just somebody messing around!

Very crisp and clean painting mate, I like how you've done the patrol jacket and the forage cap is brilliant, love it.
