After a recent post here, I had a look at my output of busts since I got back into figures after a 15 year break .....

Roughly chronologically listed the last one is technically a WIP but it is almost finished

Hi Mark,

When you put all these busts up one by one, its clear to see how your painting skills have improved so much in a very short period of time. If they are in sequential order, then your Rommel bust seems to mark a turning point in your painting style and a serious lift in the standard of your painting.

Hard to pick a favourite out of all these, but for me the US Navy diver is a stand out.

Well done mate and keep those busts coming.

I can remember watching everyone of these as you painted them mate and the improvement in your painting shows with each new bust which makes me thing where are you going to be in another 36 months :), just blows the mind mate.

lovely line up of work Mark,

Steve(y)

Mark,
well, gosh, shucks, heck...and wow.

Good progression, I agree with Gordy that there is a progressive improvement in your work.

For me, my two favorite figures would be the desert rat, because of the texture on the webbing, the sweat marks, and the tanned skin.

My next favorite after that is the Ariane (name?) figure, the female pilot; the reflections in the goggles, plus the catchlight on her top. Similar to the attached image (the way the armour on the arm catches the light)

well earned pat on the back, Mark,

glad you take the time to share with us all!

Cheers

Great collection of work Mark!

You have a very eye-pleasing and recognisable style by now.

And good working speed....I am slightly envious of your production rate.... ;-)

Keep posting please!

Cheers,
Adrian

Gotta love that almost every german you painted has the Knights Cross :-D

Beautiful work!!! Love it. I have to ask where you got some of these busts - they are brilliant. Is that a NSDAP official in there?

keep up the brilliant work

Excellent work Mark. As previously said your skills have gradually improved along the way.

BTW not seen that many busts on one page since Penthouse June 1996 !

All the best

Ian
