Now working om Washington's mount, Nelson.
So, here i am painting a chesnut horse.
A little bit of background on this horse taken from HorseTalk Magazine:

Washington had many horses, but two in particular were his favorite mounts during the Revolution. Nelson, a bright chestnut born sometime between 1763 and 1769, was a gift from Thomas Nelson of Virginia and thus named for him. Nelson (the horse) was reputedly calm in battle and was Washington’s mount for Cornwallis’ surrender at Yorktown in 1781. After the war, Nelson was retired to Mount Vernon. His death was reported to Washington (then serving his first presidential term) around Christmas of 1790.

Absolutely!, that could be a great version.
I decided to stick true to historical info and went with the Chesnut "Nelson" since GW use as a mount at Yorktown, but the one with the white horse looks very majestic, in fact, if you see many portraits of that era , they portray most of these Leaders in a white Horse
General.San Martin ( our Washington for Argentina) crossed the Andes on a mule, but he is portrayed in a white horse lol
