WIP Critique 40mm hasslefree Kalee WIP

It's been a long time since I've done a WIP, so I thought I would do one on this girl. I started her last night so it is very early days. I decided to not do TMM on her armor opting for more of a blue, chromey type armor to contrast with what is going to be a dark base. The first pic is the base I built for her the others are just painting progress.

Thanks, I'm glad you like her. Those are 1/35th bricks from verlinden but juwella (something like that) makes them too. Ebay has gobs of them for sale.

Love the armor colour, nice and subtle and tends to suit the figure, not over the top. Have to agree with Gordy on the hair as well, nicely shaded and the colour matches the armor well.

Very Kool piece indeed... Love the armour and the skintones. The character is both intimidating and sexy at the same time... or are they the same thing?

Great work on this. I think this is the first female figure I've seen here that gives a SBS on how to apply highlights/shadows to the flesh areas. And I have to agree with the comments on the hair color and armor, they're fantastic

Yup, ditto what others said about her hair. You handled it rather nicely . The base is very interesting and provides plenty of visual interest, well done ! I look forward to seeing Kaylee finished.
