Good to see these little armies again Daniel.
I think that your spell on larger figures has worked well and getting back to smaller soldiers has some how sharpened them up as well.
Looking really good my friend.
All the very best,
Keith

Thanks mate!,
It is a lot of fun to switch between scales cause i have to remember how to treat the different techniques according to the various scales, it is challenging at the same time.
I hope all is well on that side of the continent.
Take care

Touched up coats, and crimson facings, added the hand with muskets and a couple of heads that wore missing on the troopers.

Very cool Daniel!
I'm gonna do it again... Please share your recipe for the crimson on the facings? Please please, pretty please?!?! I think it could work for an upcoming project.

Cheers

Colin

Colin, i promise i will take pics of the paints i've used for these little fella's crimson when i get home from work.
It is a different acrylic than vallejo and Andrea.
Cheers

Looking good Daniel.
The Battlefield must be quite full now?
All the best,
Keith

Thanks Keith, i have 3 panels with scenery and partially with troopers, but i am trying to ...more less , To have them in their positions where the wore at the time of the early stages of the Yorktown campaign and that requires a lot of planning.
Cheers my friend

Colin, here are the two options.
I normally use the W&N acrylics on the small scale figures since they come up brighter than the vallejo and other military miniature brands.
On the pic you'll see the crimson, which i mix with a little bit of magenta to take the redness to a little bit more pinkier red.
I added white for lights to the mix, more magenta for shadows

The second option which i use in larger scale figures is some kind of deep red combined with magenta or the perfect khorne red from citadel.
Add ivory for lights and for shadows i add violet red.
I hope this helps.
You may also want to try the recommended mix by andrea acrylics of the Polish lancer bust

Time to catch up with viewing PF - reality intervened a little.

Just love it - beautiful work.

As for smuggling things into my bunker I've a predicament. the Swiss Franc increased in value against lots of currencies a week ago - up by 25% against the Euro and an increase against the $ so I had the inspired idea to order a Takom WW1 Mk 4 from Luckymodel in Hong Kong last Sunday. So far so good but when when on line the new Dragon Tiger Early with crew, a Loyd carrier and a 6 pounder with crew mysteriously appeared on the order too. My problem is that they arrived in customs in Switzerland this morning and might now be delivered when I'm not home. I guess a lot of grovelling, wailing, gnashing of teeth are coming up this week... And any savings will get blown on flowers!

Cheers
