Hi Daniel

That militia does look the business ,liking the addition of the Gabions ...thought you would have at least have built them with real branches ...lol

Quite drastic surgery on that poor fellow .....look forward to his recovery

Happy benchtime

Militia officer looks really good and ready made gabion are helpful. If only all conversions were as easy as bending the metal like that.

Cheers Simon

They are certainly not easy, but a plier and soft cloth helps not to damage the figure while bending the metal.
Cheers!

I know, i feel bad for that chap, but he will look great when done, hopefully ;-)

This officer's uniform is almost done, face, hat, hair and short gaiters/ shoes still need work.

The gabions were primed with self etched spray.
Next i will paint them in tan, once dry i will apply varnish, can be flat or gloss, no matter.
Once the varnish is dry i will mix some vallejo smoke with Citadel Agrax earthwash.

Figure looks good, purposeful I think describes him well. I didn't mean to suggest the conversion was easy, just easier than cutting limbs into sections and reanimating them, that said I wouldn't like to try bending a figure like that.

Cheers Simon

Hi Daniel

I’ve no doubt whatsoever the reanimated fellow will look great .......the current officer your painting certainly the same

Gabions are going to look good in position.....

That Dusty Skull colour looks like it could be useful to me

One thing I wonder ...I like many follow your excellent and inspiring figurework .....HOW have I not got some figures ....oh well maybe one day

Look forward to seeing more from the bench

Mind that some figures are easy to bend parts without losing its shape, others require pliers
One thing i have not got to like much, at least yet is plastic or resin.
I still prefer metal over them.
Cheers my friend.
