Hello Folks

I've just received some 3D renders of the Horse bust variants of the 4th Hussars project from Ricardo GarijoGoñi. The latest piece is Trooper no.1. The final piece in this project will be another trooper bringing the total number of subjects in the project to 5.

I am hoping to have the Trooper number 1 available in the following formats within the next couple of weeks;
120mm Full - £85.00
1/9th Conventional bust £40.00
1/9th Horse bust £70.00
Shipping:
UK = £4.50
Europe = £10.00
Everywhere else £15.00

I do not have a release date for the 75mm version or the 1/6th busts but the other 3 x 4th Hussar subjects, Colonel Burthe, Eagle Bearer and Trumpeter are available direct from www.rdgminiatures.com in limited numbers.

If anyone would like to pre-order these kits then please email ONLY to [email protected]
Cheers
Gordon

I have a couple of these big busts and they are superb and IMHO, Gordon and Tommi's best work yet! They are also a tremendous piece for a modest sum in hobby terms and I can only imagine what these would have cost had certain other companies brought them out and in an identical format.

I'm sure these will become 'classics' in the years ahead.

Priced to sell..but the horse bust craze I don’t understand, especially a grouping..but then I find half bust equally wanting..but good to see that the actual kits will look like as 3 d renderings aren’t the same as final product

Hello

Some of the previous previous posts on the project. I don't have any castings of the trooper yet but will post up when I have.
The horse busts are not to everyones liking but they are very popular. They are available in as many forms as I can squeeze from the project including;
Conventional busts
1/6th V busts
Full figure in 75mmm, 120mm and in the future 180mm.
Cheers

The 3d renders are the actual model parts that are used to produce the 3d parts to print so the prints and resin copies are identical to the renders in every way.

That’s not how it works..when cast resin shrinks and parts fit differently…

And if you look at the details on the rendering, some are unlikely to be part of a casting….

Really!!!! is that what happens in this day and age with new generation resins and allowing and compensating for this in the 3d software to compensate to a 0.001% shrinkage at worse in the casting process. Shrikage is proportional to every part anyway if it occurs !!! Maybe you know a lot more than I do about the process than I do with my 30 years experience and 5 years 3d so I am always up for learning something new if you would like to enlighten me.(y) As for the renderings, if its there it will print every detail, nothing is taken away from the model prior to print, if its missing or shallow detail this is down to the printer resolution and/or 3d resins used.

Hi folks

Without doubt a really detailed series , well researched , this trooper on a well muscled horse , details like the back of the sabretache , the harness and much more

No matter which you choose they will look great painted either singularly or as a full set

Credit to RDG, Tommi and others involved

Thanks for sharing
