Congratulations Neil, really well executed vignette.(y)
Nice to see the old Collectors series being used to such good effect (I always preferred these to the Historex ones when I started out - they just seemed more lifelike to my eyes)
Not easy when a project stretches out over a long period of time like this so I commend your perseverance in seeing it through to the end. I find that if I spend a lot of time 'modelling' my painting skills wane and visa versa; a difficult balancing act.

Look forward to what you next turn up with
Cheers
Paul

Nice work... glad that you fulfilled your ambition.

I did quite a few Airfix conversions... sadly all but a couple are long gone :(

Some tantalising glimpses of bare buttocks under the kilt... how much extra detail did you add under it (just asking for a friend ;))

It's one of those modelmaking obsessions -adding internal detail. It's satisfying to know that it's all there-even if you can't see it:)
Andy Belsey is to blame:whistle:

Lovely to see what you have done with these Airfix figures, well done and I am sure like many others when these figures were released way back they diverted me away from Aircraft kits and started my love for Military Figure modeling, nice memories.
TERRY

Cheers Terry- Glad you like it.
Yes you're right, it may well have been these that lured me away from the planes. I do remember my first ever conversion- following Roy Dilley in Airfix Magazine and converting the Airfix 1/32 German infantry into WWI trench raiders. I will have to check the dates. The 54mm Collectors Series were certainly my introduction to the Napoleonic period, though.

And thank you again to everyone who has commented and liked
cheers
Neil

Hi Neil

My apologies for missing this, looks great ...do like the hint of a bottom on the 42nd

The downed cuirassier looks well modelled and as others have said the painting looks good
