So I have been in a painting funk lately and decided to try a fantasy figure to see if it could break me out of my funk. SO here it is. I have a few areas to touch up but other than that it's complete. I dont have a base for it yet but have decided to add another fantasy figure and make a small battle vignette. Comments, critiques are welcome. This is the smallest figure I have ever done and it was a challenge. Painted in oils.

I actually don't mind fantsay figures. Pretty decent job on him. But don't judge it by the fantasy figures on coolminiornot.com those guys paint fantasy like you would not believe.

What was your funk? I went through one a few months ago where I felt I couldn't paint anything. It was really weird, I was trying out new stuff and colors and then went back to my old ways and just snapped out of it. I was wondering why we hadn't seen anything from you in awhile.

Yea bro I am goin through what you went through. Just can't paint anything worth a crap lately. So I figured this might help, lets me just experiment with colors and the like. So we will see if it worked!

Hey Jason,

Glad to see you back!

The flesh tones look a little stark to me. I would think that the transitions would be a little more subtle.

I hope you get out of you funk soon.
