Painted in acrylics and inks, this is my take on Avanpost 75mm figure of an NCO Grenadier company, 21st Jaeger regiment 1812.
Great job.
There are some imperfections in the painting.
This regiment from 1808 to 1814 had light blue shoulder straps with a yellow number 3 - this is apparently not visible on the figurine due to the backpack straps, so this is more for knowledge than for correction. At the same time, the color of the uniform in the photo looks blue-green (sea green), but should be dark green, almost black. Non-commissioned officers' galloon on the collar and cuffs should not be orange, as in the figurine's photo, but gold. The non-commissioned officer's cockade at that time had color sectors that were not orange, but a mixture of orange and black. Similar to the same colors as the colored tassels of non-commissioned officers on their shakos.
The buckle on the middle strap of the backpack should be steel. The strap used to fasten the ends of the greatcoats roll was black in the Jaeger regiments.
The sculptural part itself has a serious mistake, which, of course, seems unlikely to be corrected. But for general information it is worth recalling this: jaegers rifle (Stutzen) mod. 1797 were in service in the Jaeger regiments from 1802 to 1808. They were armed with 108 combat non-commissioned officers and 144 privates (the best shooters) in each Jaeger regiment. But in the summer of 1808, it was ordered to replace all rifles with guns, and accordingly, dirks were confiscated from everyone who received guns and bayonets were issued. Further, for several years, up to the summer of 1811 ( judging by the surviving documents), these soldiers, in addition to bayonets, were also issued infantry swords (hangers) with swordknot of colors corresponding to their battalion and company affiliation.
Thus, regardless of the artist, the figurine has a sculptural error, depicting a non-commissioned officer of the Jaeger regiment with a rifle and with dirk, instead of the gun, bayonet, infantry sword (hanger) and swordknot that were put on it at that time.
