Nice work.
What aspect of the frock coat is troublesome (I have this fig in the cupboard)?

There is just a lot of it, and trying to get consistent color and depth of color. I normally paint 54MM and this is damn near twice the size. So, all of that add the complexity. Quite frankly I think this type of Blue is the hardest to pull off for me.

I agree with that point (Union army blue): a very challenging shade which involves a fair bit of mixing to pull off. I even wrote a "recipe" down of Humbrol enamel paints for future reference (that and the sky blue trousers).
You're doing a grand job though.

Update: I’m working on completing the base. I’m going to try and spend a couple of hours on it. It’s mainly comprised of bits and parts I found in the flower bed. A couple pieces of woodland scenic bushes and some grass. Pretty simple stuff so far. Used the Airbrush for the base of Flat Earth and painting the rest by hand.

Nice results so far. Perhaps a redhead?
(Maybe a relative of FJ Hooker?)

Face is taking shape. Could I suggest a hair color of blonde or blondish brown? Would it compliment the blues?

The initial plan was for Blonde or Red hair. I’ll make a final determination based upon the skin tone when the face is done?
