The beginning of a new project and the return of Smudgyovision.
This time it's for Elan13 Miniatures.
Luftwaffe Pilot 75mm (1/24 scale)
Beginning stages with sculpting done in Magic Sculp/Duro mix for under body (pale green) and Bees Putty (grey) over that.

I always struggle to see what potential a skeletal figure has (as in your first post - a head, 1 clearly defined leg, then some popeye body and arms, not to mention the leg issue that reminds me so much of my daysin the army - being drilled as in left, left, left-right-left),so I usually wait to see it further developed before making up my mind if I like it or not.
Now you got me curious about the final attitude in the figure as suggested by the position of the arms.

Not my period Rob but I admire the skill that goes into sculpting. Looks great and wish you success with this one.

1/24 (75mm) Luftwaffe pilot and dog final snaps in smudgyovision before it goes off to MDP for casting.
Two left hand options for:
'Are you going to throw that ball?'
or
'Luftwaffe pilot smoking, with dog' (No the dog isn't smoking)
or
If you wanted to be minimalist 'Luftwaffe pilot smoking'
or
Even more minimalist 'Dog'
Sculpted in Bees Putty and Duro/Magic Sculp mix

I really like this one. Your best sculpt to date? Probably.
The way in which your figures tell little stories is also a charm as well. Makes them stand out. (y)
