A Fixture
Hello guys...I just thought you might like to see a new flat that I have sculpted.
The subject is A Shirabyoshi dancer...a lady entertainer dressed in man's clothing, acting out some heroic deed or gesture.
Here is the picture that inspired the piece...it's by one of my favourite Japanese artists, Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849).
I haven't had time to finish painting one yet...
This one was painted by a very good friend of mine from Welling model club, Phil Haynes, and I thought I'd share it with you all.
Here is my original sculpt, which is Magic-Sculp on Glass, as usual...apologies for the small picture.
And here is Phil's paint-job....
the background was done with he's grand-childrens' water paints that were left lying about and put to good use...!!
