Many thanks my friend,be careful with the box art,the dicing is just red and white,but all my references say it's red,white and green

You're right about the dicing I think, there are paintings of Duchess Jean recruiting and she wears the red and white "Sutherland" dicing on her bonnet, maybe this is where the confusion arises. The troops in the same paintings have the dicing you've painted.
 
I agree with Samson.....I think the painting on this bust looks great so far... I'm sure that however you paint the bust; weathered or not, it's still going to look great. Too many people worry about what other people think instead of enjoying the creative process.
