Sorry Gordon,
I think you misunderstood the point I was trying to make, you are most likely aware that I have purchased a number of figures over the years either directly from your good self or from MMM and I have no problem with the prices, my comments were aimed more that the output of larger scales have dropped noticeably over the years (Moz seemed to knock out a "Roll Call" release almost every month"), and my remarks were that a large number of the 75mm are the same price as the 90mm/120mm kits....No offence was intended.

None taken Steve. I know you've had loads of kits from me alone and am always happy to have feedback and suggestions for subject matter even if I can't always deliver what everyone wants it's good to have food for thought. As soon as I release a figure I'm looking towards the next one - investment money permitting. Figure scale preference is an interesting subject for kit producers in itself as at times they seem to have troughs and peaks. Like you I prefer bigger pieces in particular 1/9th but this is a very niche market in particular the full figure versions and sometimes difficult to recoup the investment.

Price is always a big factor when producing figures and one which I always take into account. An example of this is the recently released 'Over the Top' WW1 set of 7 x 75mm + scenic trench base which is being sold at the pre - order price of £175.00 with free international shipping. For the sake of argument if I counted the trench base as a single figure then the price of each figure works out at less than £22.00. To post this overseas tracked and signed is approx £12.00 further reducing the actual cost of each figure to just over £20.00. This said £175.00 is quite a sum but when put in perspective of price per figure it ain't so bad. When I get the time I will be splitting this set up into smaller parts to suit everyones pocket but price will obviously vary according to the number of kits per group. The Sutherland Highlander will be released as a single figure for £30.00 which includes worldwide postage.

Cheers
Gordon

According to Regimental histories the boat coats were brown Holland material with red cuffs, here's a modern illustration I got from the Regimental museum in Stirling castle.

I guess I understand... presbyopia. That's why I sculpt in 160mm... By the way; what an excellent figure!!!
