Great version of a great figure Joe. Very much like your colour choices.

Were the pictures made with iPad or iPhone? I've heard that when you rotate them 4 times in edit mode (so no net rotation!) before posting, you'll get them to post the right way up, but I haven't tested it myself.

Cheers,
Adrian
Thanks Adrian!

The last pic I posted I had already cropped so I don't know if doing the 4 X rotation by itself will work, or if it was a result of the two actions. I'll try it though.

Hi Joe,
That is a nice piece of modelling mate, love the painting and setting.
cheers
Richie
Thanks Richie! It was a really fun project. I spent a lot of time painting up the rubble and wall section, probably as much as the figure! It actually was about 98% done for a couple of weeks as it was just recently that I was able to get with a friend to do the newsprint.

Hi Joe,

Just spotted this one mate, still hate the way that "Completed Figures" threads are so non-descript on home page.
Easily flick past these if don't spot avatar. Anyway not your fault mate ;)

This has a very contemporary feel for the time, especially emphasised by paint work of building.
AB trooper looks authentic too mate.
Will be good to see final photos with weathering & dusted up.

Good to see Joe,

Stay safe,
Mike

Howdy Mike!

Wow, based on your recent posts, I kinda figured you'd be outta the net for a while. Nonetheless, good to see that you are undaunted when it comes to visiting your amigos in the 'Planet'

Thanks for your comments Mike. I try hard to get the right look given my current skill set. I know it comes down to practice, practice, and more practice! Thanks to Luc who unselfishly provided some pics on the typical architecture in that area of France. In the original photo I noticed what looks like a stucco texture on the exterior walls. I simulated this by smearing on some Vallejo 'Sandy Paste' with one of those oil painters little spatulas. Then I just painted it when it was dry. This added a missing little detail to the structure. I thought of maybe adding busted windows, but got lazy!

Good to hear tip on 'Sandy Paste' it does make a difference on building.
Gotta go "family time" :)

Looks great Joe. I really like this figure and your version is really well done.

I do the 4x turns and a slight crop with ipad to get my photos straigh. I don't jnow if the edit will save with four turns only as you haven't changed the picture, just the orientation.

Colin

Excellent work, perhaps your best imho.

Cheers
