HI Steve
Looking good so far. I would use a light wash of sepia in the deepest parts of the fur to add depth and texture to the overall effect ,just my thought. Difficult piece to paint as I know, can you take any more close up photos?
Cheers
Tommi

Cheers Tommi thanks a lot I haven't really done much with the fur as yet been struggling with the face But I'll definitely bear that in mind, I can try but my photos are worse than my paint slinging  Much appreciated

Steve

You are doing well Steve, that fur isn't easy to paint really and more with white tones of colur, i ditto a wash sepia as Tommi said, if you will try a silver flash effect on the light parts of the fur , the mixture you have to do is more less a wash of 4 parts of white and one part of silver . The beard is becoming very good , for the face i will add more shadows on the usual shadow areas and light on the upper cheek-bone, that for my liking of course ..

Many thanks Stefano I've just laid a wash of cream on the fur then if that looks ok will start to texture it in the next couple of days, I will probably leave the face for now till I put the braids on as to see where they go for shadowing etc.

A few more close up pics,
Steve

Heh Cheers Taff :shifty: I've not actually done anything with the mail other than a silver scrub and black wash, maybe I better leave it at that :cautious:

Steve

Followed Tommi's great advice and have added some much deeper shadows to the fur and I think it looks a lot better now, however what you think may differ  So have it troops ;)
