A Question For The Membership

I have a question for you. Guy and I in a conversation discovered that neither of us navigate through pF the same way. I'm sure there are several more ways to do it, I was just curious how the rest of you do this as well. For me, personally, on the home page, I click on "My Controls" (I stay logged in all the time), then click on "My Assistant". This brings up a box which tell me how many new posts have been made and will let me view all new posts. This or I can view today's active topics. Either or.

Does any of this really matter? Probably not. It's just that there may be some members who don't understand all of this, or possibly some members are missing out on the whole spectrum of posts made here on pF. Mine isn't the only way and it very well may be that yours is the better way. Just trying to help some of the new guys and possibly the older ones too. So, what's your way of navigating through pF? If yours has already been mentioned, just say it the same as whoever's.

Basicely I'm doing the same thing You do, Jim, but a little while ago I could see directly who was on line. Now this has been gone from the openingspage.
Can it be seen elswhere or is it deffently gone?

Having browsed the new discussions and features on home page I then poke about in the Forums to see what's new.

I never go to the home page.

I put my bookmark on this PAGE so I can see at a glance what's up (and what's not).

I've discovered recently the FEATURES box on the upper right corner with the latest vBench posts. 'twas about time! :lol:

I always start with "view new posts," then hop to the main page. I check all the news items, then scan the categories for anything of interest I may have missed.

Quang, thanks for mentioning the features. My eyes have always strayed to the left. I use 'view new posts' before navigating to vbench through 'Forums'.
Now I can jump to vBench quicker.
I'm old and slow and blind, but fun.

I just use the "view new posts" entries. Sometimes it takes a long while to find an old post.

I use "view new posts". Although I used to use "my asistant" all the time and had completely forgotten about it - thanks Jim! Shame the "my assistant" link on the front page doesn't work.........It just leads to the front page again

Eddy, click on "forums" at the top. Then scroll all the way down until you view the Board Statistics. Then click on the "Show detailed by: Last Click". This will take you there.

Rob, After you click on My Controls, the My Assistant works there. Not sure why it stopped working on the homepage.
