Thanks guys!

I got up early this morning and got to work on this guy right away. Really took the time to work on the tones of the skin and some parts of the armor. I'm really looking to get that "I'm alive again??" type of look and feel to him.

I also messed with the lighting a bit and switched bulbs to make it look like sunlight is creeping in from the edge of the crypt (right hand side).

Made some further work on the skin tonight. I want to keep the current tattered look going. I just need to figure out what to do with the eyes, but I'm sure I'll figure it out. Also, I worked on the cloak a little bit. Tomorrow I'll tackle the back of the cloak and begin my finishing touches on him.

Getting close, but I still have a lot of work to do!

Good evening ladies and gents,

I'm in the final stretch of completing this guy. I just have to finish up the fur on the cloak as well as the stitched skins on his cape.

He's coming along though.

I took some time to add some dirt pigments to the armor and the cobblestones around his feet. I wanted to give the impression that dust and sediment had collected on him as he was entombed.

Also, I did some work on his eyes, which are hard to see regardless, but they're nice and blood shot now with clouded irises.

Jake i like your base once again and you have done a very nice painting on the figure as well.With the "fish"shaped armor i would have gone close to an H.P. Lovecraft approach like "Dagon" both on figure and base , but it is your figure.One thing that i am not a fan is the web which in scale i think it is not working.Anyhow i like the result so far.

I just looked up the Dagon and holy crap that monster looks hideous! I'd love to paint something like that. How could I improve the web out of curiosity? I got the idea from Raiders of the Lost Ark, as it'd be a mix of spider and fine cob webs.
