Paul, The guy just wanted help becoming a supporter.......he simply wanted instruction on how to pay as we all used to do without Paypal.

He didn't start a thread asking for yet another one of your A4 filled posts of reasons why he shouldn't do it or reasons why you have the right to tell him exactly why he's wrong or exactly how the world appears to peedee........I'm sure that's the last thing that keeps Blunderbus awake.

Can't we simply either give the advice which is asked by a member,... or if we can't think of any way to help them then just shut the f*%k up.

See, that's just where you don't get it Paul, I'm not standing up for anyone least of all Mark (Blunderbus) cos I have no hesitation at all that he's quite capable of fighting his own fights.........the point you miss is that I'm standing up for the so called standards of this forum....fine, take the piss if you like but I reckon an international forum we can all share without allowing any differences to get in the way might be a good thing.....but then again I also believe cork tiles are fashionable.

I think it a terrible shame that you feel the need to preach about someone not seeing the absolute dumbness in their argument in refusing to use paypal because they won't let him buy gun parts.
That wasn't political it's just dumb.

I was going to just let this drop but the AMERICAN in me feels the need to respond to being called a dumb bad guy.

Thought I'd wait until this had died down a bit.
This 'debate' crops up every couple of years and goes nowhere other than to cause some bad feeling.
The last time if I remember correctly started off with the usual misinterpretation of a posted comment, bizarrely took a diversion examining the morality of shooting coyotes, and ended up descending into vitriol.
In simple terms a straightforward question was asked, where it all went belly up was when he identified his reason for not using paypal ........ big deal ...... his business .....and who really cares whether he uses paypal or not.
A couple of options were offered, that should have been the end of it.
Anyway the most important thing to come from this thread is ......

You need 21 feet distance just to get one shot off against a guy with a Knife ............

.....the critical need to stand 22 feet away

I would not bother paying for rude treatment like you have received here, what a load of crap. This site gets no more support money from me. The way you have been treated here would have resulted in a few locks or bans on most forums. The "no politics" rule here never seems to apply when it comes to "Merica" bashing. It is pretty obvious and insulting as well. Went way over the top for treatment of a guy who wanted to support this forum, but there are a few "blokes" on here who treat it like their own private little club, I know more than a few Yanks who do not bother with this site any longer.

Steve. To be fair the politics were initiated by Blunderbus in his post explaing why he would not use paypal.There are clearly two views of guns in the West, even here in North America. I don't see any US insults....just two worlds not understanding each other. Hence the wisdom of the no politics rule.
