Looking really nice René.

Yes good folds follow the volume underneath and guide a painters brush, a process missed by amateurs that just dig them in nearly cutting to the bone!

Nooo...not like that..:) ( in Dutch: 'Neej , niet zo!!)

they should be smooth and gently brushed, cherished if need be and rolled with utmost care.

I found out there's a pattern sometimes. Like knitting. one up, two down or so.

but please do count me in with the amateurs gordy ;-p

your humble, unfoldable but loyal threadmaker

Rene - the Fold-master :) :)

Now when all the important parts are in place I see the fine balance of the complete figure. Very hard to do when not working on figure as a complete piece but concentrating and finishing one limb and then go to next one as You did- so I suppose You have a very good sketch...

If I have had a sketch I probably would have shown it too Darko.
Having a good armature is very important for measurements.

this is my first non static figure, some examining for the pose learned I had to change the pose of his left leg/foot and knee ( merci , Nicolas) for better balance and dynamics.

I also would like for the time coming not to have a casting process in mind, the figure itself is the endproduct ( to have some painting fun) and a study for better ones.

thanks man,

René

as Pokrad said you work fast!! Tremendous sculpting as well, the detail on the upper body is excellent :)

However I noticed something that may help bring the character and expression out a bit more

Perhaps top teeth need to be in place so the upper lip can rest on them more, as well as having the upper lip more linear(side view) instead of curving outwards from the face

I think another thing is the lower lip seems to widen as it approaches the jaw, but doing that would cause great folds near the chin as well as a tensed neck.

Perhaps bringing the lower lip in more so the widest part is where the upper and lower lips meet

Here are some examples that may help to compare, Im not sure if they are what you are going for!

Good heaven Alex....thanks man, haha, good pics.

well pointed out. I'm aware of the manco's in this face.
I'll save it for the end when everything is in place.
