Hello, everyone!

I hope you are all enjoying the new year.

I'm pleased to announce that The Artist Preservation Group will be sponsoring a day long, acrylic painting workshop instructed by me on July 15, 2010 at the Wyndham Gettysburg. This workshop is being held at the same venue the day before the first day of our 2010 APG Show July 16-18, 2010.

Participation is very limited. We only have room for 12 and I know of several who have already expressed interest in this workshop as we've been discussing it at shows.

Each participant will have a 75mm figure and a desk lamp provided. The figure will be assembled, primed, ready to paint and waiting for you when the workshop begins. This is not a seminar! This is a hand's on workshop in which we will be painting. We will spend all morning and afternoon (9-5pm) in a hands-on workshop to explore the acrylic painting method, color theory, technique and generally, how to paint figures with this great medium. Using a combination of step by step slides and hands on demonstration we'll work through the challenges of painting a figure together and hopefully, give you some insight and great tips that you can use to move forward with acrylic painting. The number of attendants has been kept low to encourage the most one-on-one instruction time. Participants of all skill levels are welcomed to register. I will be providing a list of Vallejo paint to bring well before hand and each participant will also need to bring a pallette and brushes. Cost for the day long workshop will be $150 per person.

Please feel free to contact me for more information or to reserve your space. Once the 12 spaces have been filled, no more will be accepted. Please email inquiries to:

(substitute the @ symbol for (at) in my email given above, please.)

We look forward to a great time and lots of learning in this workshop and I hope to see you there.

That's it everyone! The last spot in the workshop has just been filled.

I thank you all for your interest and look forward to rolling up our sleeves and getting to it in Gettysburg!

Should anyone back out for any reason, I'll be sure and let everyone know of any vacancy. If you'd like, I'd be happy to add anyone to a list of alternates should anyone cancel.

Thanks again,

Matt
