Roy,

Cast a several of these flats and i am very sure you sell them. What a great flats. I admire the painters of flats. How they paint in the 3D is still a wonder for me.
Can you imagine how i look like too the sculpters of the flat.
This is amazing,

I really hope too see more of your artwork very soon ;)

Stephen thank you....very kind comments indeed...we certainly never stop learning..

Phil...my old mate..my paintwork just gets me by...I shall post Pantaloon in a new thread as I took some pics earlier....just the master though..lol..

Thanks guys.....Roy.

Roy,
help me out here, my jaw won't close! Nice work! Absolutely the most action I've seen in a flat to date. MORE! MORE!

As Jay rightly says Roy, flats are often relatively static. This one leaps out at you, it's no wonder it's been so popular. If were you, I'd re-release it or something as there's certainly a new audience for it, if that's the right word.

I've yet to have a go at doing a flat, but I'd be itching to have a crack at this one.

all the best mate

Marc many thanks for your kinds words...flats painters amaze me too, you see some good ones around..and one of the best I've seen for creating that much sought after 3 dimensional effect is our new member conny....when I first saw that Hussar...man I couldn't believe my eyes...

Jay..many thanks...I'm pleased you like the action aspect...I just tried to copy what the painter had already achieved so well...good reference.

Anthony..thanks for your kind comments...I'm sure you would enjoy painting a flat...they are great fun and a fresh challenge if you're used to figures...I have a few left..just give me a shout.

All the best....Roy.

Dear Roy, yes please, I'll be down at the club on 16th November so I'll certainly see you then when I'd be glad to relieve you of one of them. Cheers again mate, enjoy what's left of the weekend ;)

Take the plunge Anthony........I am sure you will enjoy painting them. I just posted some I did years ago on my vbench and now look forward to painting flats again.

Roy, I'm a big fan of your sculpts, but this is my favorite. I have never attempted a flat as quite frankly they were not my cup of tea yet yours is a piece that may act as an impetus for me to give them a try. I only wish that it was still available. What a wonderful piece.

John

Dan..many thanks for checking these out..

John..thank you, you should definately think about painting a flat, you'll get a whole different feel for painting with light and shade....could be fun. :)

All the best......Roy.

Hello Roy,

Well, i saw Conny's (Konrad) work last year at our show in Antwerp. Well, i become to be a little boy.
The flats of Conny are in life much and much better than you can see at the picture's.
He showed me some flat's, and i need a bucket and towel for..........!!!!!!!!!!
And above all, Conny is a man he can tell everything about painting a flat. He is a great guy. You must meet him ;) ;) .

But i like your flats to. Come on, sculp some more, they are great.

Marc
