thx for all the comments guys really appreciate it very much :))

@ D.Lesko...its painted with both mediums oils and acrylics.. the kit is from Pegaso Models..which I can recommended to anyone ;)

i wanted a faded red that looked like silk which I was told that that was the material used at that time...so here is the mix

Base: Carmine(Maimeri) + Sap Green(Maimeri) + a little Andrea Crimson...

Highlights: add Brilliant Red(Maimeri) to the base colour with each highlight adding a little crimson to keep that faded effect...for the last highlights I added a little beige to the brilliant red :)

Shadows: add Sap Green(Maimeri) to the base colour and for the last deep shadows use black :)

hope this helps mate :)

@eas6644....yes it's a resin piece which makes the job even more difficult.. :///...i started with a black acrylic undercoat..then sprayed Humbrol 52 Gunmetal on it as a base colour then used Humbrol 11 Silver and sprayed from the top to give an overhead Highlight...after all is dry pasted W & N Ivory Black and removed excess.... and then started picking highlights with silver acrylics and some printers inks for the shadows and demarcations Ivory black oil colour from the tube :) P.S. for the Humbrol use some semi matt varnish so that it will not become grainy :)

if you need anything just p.m me ;)

A beautiful piece Sam. The face is painted well and the armour is just perfect for lots of washes.(y)
