Adrien is a Dutchman who, in the Red Lancers, did not return from the Russian campaign...

a transformation taken the Berg lancer ad the horse of the Red Lancers from Metal Modeles range ( as usual), a bit 'of color here and there, the trousers comes from the Rousselot planches and behold, a soldier in the spring campaign ...

enjoy

shabraque corner were turned over to protect from rubbing against the shrubs the decorative eagles

first picture complete with the beautiful base made by Dino Pivato

Don't let Ron T hear you say that ;)

Nah ...... Ron was as impressed as me.
Rons work is of the highest quality but being a hobbyis who makes bases can't provide the range of sizes that a professional woodworker like Dino can.
Dino also has access to timbers that you just can't get easily in the UK.
He also does things like smoking olive wood to give beautiful colours.
Cheers
Derek

Bravo Ivo. I love how you research real men and use them as a basis for an individual figure. I try to do the same. I am finishing up Paul Britten Austin's excellent trilogy on that fateful Russian Campaign. The Dutch particularly suffered much during the retreat.
