Hello,

My second release

GMB1/902 Afghan Tribesman , North West Frontier 1842

Sculpted by Carl Reid

A little different from the norm and a true blank canvas for those that like the freedom to choose from a rich palette of colours.

Hi Alison ,

A nice piece , like the weapon he carrys and like you say a blank canvas which will I am sure inspire the painters .

Be good to see any box art if its available .

Thanks for posting

i would think that you could any weapon of the 19th and 20th centuries and his clothes would not change, SMLE,Noisin Naganr, Mauser.would look look good to me.

Another great piece from Carl.
You chose well Alison; it should do well for you.
All the best,
Keith

PS I like the weapon just the way it is, more character

Thanks Guys!

I'm pleased you like him, This piece really is a blank canvas. The piece can be painted very simply or you can really go to town on him and paint him to death, with all the embroidery on the coat, and gingham pattern on the turban. then of course the Jazail with all the marquetry inlays! It can be painted as you wish!
Here are some examples of the Marquetry on the jerzail!

It may help a little....
