Hi Pepa (María)

Thank you for putting this up on the Planet, its a great piece and beautifully painted as well. Great to see another figure painter who uses an airbrush to paint faces on busts, in my mind its the best way to get great blends at such a large scale. The blacks are great as well, all in all a superb piece....

Hi All,
Pepa has done some of the box art for Pegaso, personally, I adore how she does eyes and faces on the Lady busts.

Pepa does have a few different entries on different websites, as well as her own blog.

However, I feel it is her choice if she wants to share where more of her work can be seen, I just encourage her to do so!

cheers

Welcome to the Planet and what a fine piece to start things off with. Your technique for painting with the airbrush is excellent, I have tried this many times but could never get the same level of detail and smooth transitions that you have achieved on the skin tones, I like the way you have handled the blacks, would you be kind enough to share the way you worked with this?
Many Thanks
Tommi

Thanks again.

@ Figure mad, Yes, we aren´t too many painters who use airbrush to paint figures.

@ Janus, (Looks like) or (it seems) you already know some of my work :) and yes, I have painted some box arts for Pegaso.

@ Alamac, thanks Alan.

@ Tommi, Sure I don´t mind explaining how I paint. Which is exactly what do you want to know? something about the colors I have used or about airbrushing techniques?

Kisses: Pepa.

Pepa,
I think that a two part answer would be better,
1 part on something about the colours used
2nd part on how you use an airbrush.

Just my thoughts, I used and airbrush on my Chinese Lady, but did more brush work on her then airbrush!

So an airbrush use, for me, would be very informative!

cheers

That's an Awesome bust you've painted Pepa (Maria).....Bravissima :)

Welcome to the planet and thanks for adding that Warm Female touch to a "man's hobby/world/planet" by your subtle painting and kisses :)

Ray ;)

Just for your information guys.
Pepa is one of the top European painters.
I have followed her work for some time now and have learned a lot from her outstanding pieces.
We can all learn a lot from her, and now that she is posting here I hope she will share her expertise with us.
Her skill with an airbrush is exceptional.
Welcome Pepa, I look forward to seeing more postings from you.
Regards,
Gilbert Moreno
