Reminded me of a book I read, where the aliens didn't bother invading earth, as we were heading for
self destruction, and then took over the planet.

Yes, my idea where almost the same. But also, regarding some conspiracy theories the Greys are ruling our planet in the destructive way we experience nowadays, so that's why I decided to make this bust .
