I did this one for a magazine article years back when Airfix re-issued this figure.

Always loved the pose & colors of this one...very similiar to Historex in composition & assembly

Ya I think you are right

The price was very good too. They do remind me of Historex in structure & assembly

I keep seeing them at shows at prices ranging from a bargain to ridiculous, I have the British Grenadier but not really sure if I want to make it or keep it in the package for nostalgia.

Yes they are a bit like Historex though not as versatile or as expansive in range. I started Historex with limited success in the 80's & 90's but then moved on to flats. I am so pleased I rediscovered the range now my skills are better than they were back in the day.

Nice bit of nostalgia there. I did most of this range when I was in my teens, but for some reason never this one.

Ya this range is nice but somewhat probelmatic to always get....The plastic horse mounted figures are very versatile and it would be nice to see them available on a widescale again.

This book by Ottinger is a great source and inspiration for building I highly rec. it!!
