Hi Al, the pipe is reinforced with a iron pin. And there are 2 pipe-pieces in the box...

Hello Ben, I saw in the kit's description, before I bought it, that one of the pipes was reinforced. I didn't examine them very closely when I received it. I'll have to take a closer look. Did you have to separate it into two parts to install it into position?

yes, I cut it in two pieces.

I have this one myself to paint but I also have concerns about the length of the pipe, even though it is reinforced? too easy to bend or snap, reckon I'll be reducing it's size to about half at least,
It's a great sculpt & well painted too

Jim, an half year ago I had built the bust. No problems with the pipe. It is strong enough to built the full length.
