A little progress in the painting of Athena with the coloring of the skin. The color seems suitable to me, I wait to put the colors on the adjacent elements to see how they interact with each other....
I put shadows on the face to simulate the shadows of the helmet. It is not very visible because I did not pay attention when taking the picture that my light comes from the right and that this modifies the perception of the paint. I will be more careful next time.
The arm attached to the shield was painted with darker colors by mixing purple into my base. The inside of the shield will be painted blue, I hope the purple is the right shade to give the skin the reflection of the blue on it....
I put the shield in place to see if the arm was still very visible once attached to the bust and to see if the light was strong enough to be visible. Here again, the test is not conclusive, because the shield projects an additional shadow on the arm and prevents me from seeing properly if the shade used is the right one. I show here this shooting error to draw attention to this kind of detail, I will have to find a solution for the next photos.
I did so many mixes on the wet palette to create the skin that I am unable to give them here, so here is a photo of all the colors used.
