Hi all.....

early in January I ordered this kit and have decided to have a go for the Alpine competition.

I have got to say this is an outstanding sculpt and I almost put it away as I'm not really sure my standard is high enough to do this justice... but then thought what the hell, I have oven cleaner to hand :)

Cleanup was a breeze and the resin is bubble free and about the same density as polystyrene and a delight to work with, undercoated in auto primer and away we go :)

this is his little head done ( waiting for a set of Vallejo WW2 German Camo Colours to arrive now as i just can't get the fieldgrey right with the citadels )

any comments , crits or observations welcome as always

Mark

Hi Mark,

Looks good mate, really expressive face, dont know if you have seen the old film cross of Iron, but i reckon he looks quite a lot like Lt Meyer ??

Where abouts did you order him from as i am having problems finding a UK supplier for alpine products.

Good luck in the competition i am looking forwrad to following this thread as it develops

Kind Regards

Kirky

Many thanks guys

&:)

so i need to base this fellow and i was killing time waiting for my Vallejo paints....

i have a stalled lightbox project of a 1/16th T34/76 ..... HHHHMMMM..

i visit my local art supply shop and scrounge some of the corrigated card he uses for the backs of pictures, its light and very strong and the corrigations don't show, and made a copy of the front corner of the t34........

cut off the details i needed and raided the sprues..... this morning i cut the curve.... :(

:)

Mark,
that is very clever basing/ back drop.

All very good.

As for wiring, a quick check seems that the lead came out of the back of the lamp, and for side mounted lights you have made, lay loose and head towards the top of the hull.

Or multiple view points/ walk around at prime portal (note, you may have to wade through a few dozen shots before you find it - recommended if you want hyper accuracy:eek::eek::eek:)
