1st stage of painting the jacket done!

i'm quite happy with the vallejo paint now, it's not as heavy as the GW paint and i'm making my mixes a touch thicker..... so thats nice :)

head and arms blu-tacked for pic

Many thanks T50!

i assume the origional must have been etch cos it is absolutely perfect! :)

lots of gentle thin washes to pick it out....

all building on the T34 completed, even the cuts on the track! primed and ready for a spray job :)

happy with the panzer wrap so just last tweaks on the medals etc and gloves, then onto those pants........

white? or mouse grey? i ain't decided yet, but i'mm 100% not doing them in any of the camo patterns

jibber-jabber over i post a pic :)

Love what you are doing on this so far, you are really making the ,liece your own with the t34 section, why no camo ? are going for a snow scene?

The sculpting on this figure is fantastic, i want to buy the Prinz eugen fig for my entry - great results tahnks for posting

Kind Regards

Kirky

Looks good so far......

with the treads, are you going to add some graphite to where the metal treads and guide teeth are polished through friction with other parts of the running & drive gear?

like the build up and WIP shots so far

cheers

Mark you are making a great project, the tank will give 50% to your figure, very good idea,at the end you will have a masterpiece in your showcase.

Christos!

many many thanks!

......

i hate white paint!

after much messing around i think i got it looking ok, well just that top corner... |:(

field grey, teck tan, off white, skull white ( inspired by Joe Hudsons work )

used field grey for the really deep creases.. blended into deck tan, 3 shades up to off white then a highlight with skull white... mostly feathered

:D

Ok, enlarging your effort so it is larger then life, good.

Have you captured the effect of white garment with shadows & highlight?

In my opinion, Yes.

And a darn sight better then my effort with Andreas White set.
(My limitations, not theirs)

You heading in the right direction, at least.

cheers

Many thanks Stefano :)

Progress ........

sprayed the groundwork to represent mostly dead and dried up grasses ....... decided to try and get a ground frost look, with some snow left over from a previous fall, now i'm pretty sure i'm gonna sprinkle some on the tank....

Denes .. Balázs ...... many thanks guys, i was worried it was too much but it seems to work :)

the figure is virtually finished YAAAAY!

some tweaking on the pants to just get them right and then weathering ( light! ) to make sure our man's not floating on the base

Phew!
