I use 3d scanner too, but not so good, so i must resculpt all small pieces, but my 3d printer same, printing without layers. I really think about making studio like this 1 year ago but 50% of my work can't be scanned. Robots, monsters and etc. So i use my scanner to make better pose and proportion even then i sculpt something unreal.

Hi
If you have the same printer you can do like me : offer direct 3D printed figures, or cast them if you are sure you get enough sales for the extra costs

Hi
2 more army helicopter crews are ready now :
an additional standing pilot with body armor, and different face
And finaly the first of the seated pilots : with flotation collar for operation over water, straps, seat without frame, cyclic, collective, also without frame, and pedals. Suits Academy blackhawk, you will normaly have to move the seat frame a bit back, or bend it back like on the pictures.

On the last picture, we have also a french Armée de l'Air pilot in 1/32 (squadron 2/33, but you can file the patches...)

 Lordy pass the paintbrush . . .

As has been mentioned before the realism is . . . is . . . . is . . .well let's say that they're the best I've seen.
That said they have a certain 'coldness' ? compared to some of the established 'sculpted' figures, lacking some of the quirks that can make a figure personal to a particular sculpter.

I really like them, but it's like comparing an Angis McBride illustration to a re-enactor dressed up there's something a bit photographic about them. Not a critism, you understand, just a personal observation :)

Keep up the incredible work
Paul

Hi Paul

I understand what you say. In such work, I'm a little like a movie director, or a photographer of the B&W area. So I lately tried to have more smiles, or suffering, joy...life !
But at the end, it's the painter work who will give the whole "life" to the figure.
Started the first prints in Mai, I'm only a step forward you (in the timeframe), and hope to keep improving from figure to figure.

So many thanks for giving your feelings.

Norbert

Dont know where we go with this unstoppable progress but this is absolutely fantastic....................

I am a romantic myself and as an amateur sculptor I'll always prefer good ol'putty, but what I see here is unbelievable. The possibilities offered by modern technology are trully endless!
