As a part II to last weeks post, uweek at Artig we are featuring Larrey's ambulance with horses! The Ambulance of the Guard shows one of the world's first ambulances, as developed by Dominique Jean Larrey (1766–1842), Napoleon Bonaparte’s chief physician. These 'flying ambulances' were first used by Napoleon's Army of the Rhine is 1793.
