I may be wrong, but you seem to make the obscure (to me anyway), stand out. This is another beautiful example of figure selection and brushwork, that we have come to expect. Top notch work Mike (y)!! Hope you make it home with a lot of hardware from Chicago!

Joe

WOW! What an AWESOME job on the figure Mike!

LOL, you're kidding right?! Well, if this is a result of you learning to paint again I need to go back to the drawing board. Your reds just blow me away. How did you paint these? Acrylics, oils? Please share your colors used.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the comments and questions. I painted this in acrylics. The reds are the following mix estimates:
Base
Carmine Red-60%
Vermillion-35%
Flat Green-5%

Hi's

Add vermillion
Add scarlet

Low's

Base + green+black

I hope that answers your questions

Sweet bro! Way to come back with a vengeance. I agree that the reds look good, along with the highlight lines in the lace. I'm looking forward to the show!

Jason

Hey Jason,

Thanks for looking. See you in Chicago bro!
