Hi All
After a few months with no camera I'm back in business, since my V-Bench vanished I thought I would post a few pics here! This is Andreas 54mm Mountain Man 1840, pretty much an airbrush effort except fot he beadwork and flesh! Comments welcome!
Cheers

Mark, Nice job. Your way of doing groundwork that extends off the edge of the base reminds me of fellow Pf member John Long's work.~Gary

Looks very nice. In that second picture, with the red background and the "warm colors" of the photo it looks like he's standing on a hill in front of a sunset.

I like this figure myself and you've done a nice job on it Mark.

Great to see more airbrush work here too, especially at this scale; it can be remarkably effective can't it?

Thanks for the comments!
Einion your dead on! The airbrush is a great tool that most figure painters under utilize especially at the smaller scales such as 1/35 and 54mm. I'm finding these days I'm using the oils for fine detail, some flesh and areas where I didn't like the airbrush results. As a tool for laying down your base colors its invaluable! I recently fine tuned my airbrush with new needles and washers etc. and then tried it out on the Hornet figure I'll post below. Except for the eyes its all airbrushed and I was happy enough with the results to leave it as is. I'd love to see some more airbrush work here, especially from those using a quality brush like Iwata!
Cheers
