Template was Kapitänleutnant Herbert Kuppisch as Commander of U 94 in the year 1941 after
this photo taken by Lothar Günther Buchheim (Author of the book "The Boat")...:



Kuppisch died as Commander of U 847 on August 27, 1943 together with his whole crew, after his boat was sunk by planes of USS "Card".

Kapitänleutnant Lehmann-Willenbrock came from my hometown Bremen. There also he died in 1986.

Kapitänleutnant Herbert Kuppisch (1909-1943) was decorated with the Knight Cross and spent his entire career in the U-boat force until being sunk on 27 August, 1943...

Small note on my part:

The fifth version (scale 1:32, No. 32-F009) stood with the price I mentioned yesterday on the "Andrea" website!



I did not come up with that...

I wonder why they consistently refuse to release in 1:32 and 75 mm, which I think are the perfect scales for this figure...
