Thanks everyone. Hi Carlo, Tim is right on the black undercoat. It also makes it impossible for me to leave any shadows missing in hard to reach places.

Very little done on this, have been experimenting with the blue reefer jacket to get the right blue, It has dried to a very slight sheen which I need to work on to get rid of. Hardy

Thanks Guys. The green is just sepia highlighted with naples yellow + a dot of sap green, shadowed with lamp black. I want the reefer jacket to have worn appearance similar to what you can see in this picture. Hardy

Hi Hardy

just looked at your webpage the figure is looking great. I see you managed to sort the sheen out? Did you bake the figure or use something else?

John

Hi mate, looks I have missed this one..........Awesome as usual to say the least!!!

Take care,

Ray ;)

Dear Hardy ,
It will be a painting masterpiece as usual.... knowing your natural talent.
A really great start !!

Best regards from Venetia

Thanks everyone. Yes a British submariner would be great, id'e paint it.

Here's where I am now. Trying to make those leather trousers look like leather, not coloured cloth. Oil stains to come, tons still to do!. Finally have cracked the blue, not as dark as I would have liked but must get on. Hope you like.

Stunning paintjob Hardy! For me the jacket is dark enough.
Looking forward to see the leather trousers painted.

Marcel.

Wow, thats looking good. The one thing i found funny about this is that so far on this is that when i had a look at his hands i though he was wearing thin black gloves but with a closer look i saw his hands wern't painted yet lol.

Many thanks Tony.

Hi Hikaru, thankyou. Did you make it to Euro militaire this year? Hardy

So far so good,
I think you make it yourself a little to hard. Painting leather like leather instead of colored clothing.
Well, if you wanted that way, i think it is gonna end that way. With your painting skills nothing is impossible.
And i must say, you are on the road with the leather.
