First Highlight (Oils) Basecoat + Naples Yellow + Titanium
Shadow (oils) Venetian Red
Deep Shadow (oils) Venetian Red + Lamp black.

Can't wait to get this one finished so I can start the new pegaso 90mm Spartan. So many challenges, but im up for it. Hardy

Hardy,
Wich space of time you do from each other step of coats, highlights and shadows?

Hi Carlo. I usually wait a day before I re-highlight and shadow. Hope this helps. Hardy

.

Fantastic work Hardy!!

I have just purchased this figure and have started to assemble it.I'll be using this thread as inspiration.

Beautiful painting!!

Cheers,
Jeff.

Hi John mate. Not a flag, just some tape to keep the base steady whilst painting.

Hardy - your figures are awesome. I continually follow your work with lots of admiration.I eally like what you have done with this one. I am also curious as to what black primer you use. You must hand brush it on, I assume?

Thanks

Brad,
I want to know the same about the black primer.
Rocky

Hi Brad and Rocky. The primer I use is matt humbrol enamel, I usually give the figure 3 coats allowing drying time between each. Your right the coats are brushed on, hope this helps. Hardy

Hardy - thank you very much. I was kind of thinking it was humbrol. I have been wanting to try this method myself (black primer).

thanks
Brad
