Good on mate!

Super horse especially & interesting to hear of your acrylics experiment for face plus some details.
How'd you find them & like Marc a bit curious as to why you opted for them on instead of oils you've mastered?

Photos are nice & sharp too :)
Lots of drama in this piece, keen to see it.

Excellent work. But I don't get the benefit for painting the face in acrylic.
Your oilpainting is fabulous.

Mike and Marc , thanks for the feedback . There is various reasons why I decided to paint the face in acrylics , one reason being
I am always looking for ways to paint faster and it seems to be a bit quicker for me using this medium , also my goal is to get as good at acrylics as I am with oils and i like to use both . Unfortunately I am still not very good with acrylics but getting better .My next figure will be completely in acrylics . Another reason is it is hard to get a flat finish with oils unless you dry them in an oven and I have a couple of resin figures in the grey army and i don't want to end up melting them . Cant seem to find a reliable flat varnish .

Thanks

Neil

Neil,..... beautiful work! .. it's one of those painted piece's, that catch your eye! and really want to study over and over! ... which I still am doing. Very well done!

Regards,

Mark
