39. Day, 16. December 2013
My painting week I start to make two small details .
First I turn the shutter loop for the sheepskin cloak that I paint with these colors ... :

Please look closely at the Pictures down under:

In the lateral eyelets right and left you can see a piece of lace (Silver + Grey ) and small sections of Kaftens ( blue ) and all three leather straps indicated - and I have almost broke my paws ...
Second detail of today is the tobacco pouch made of leather, worn by our Fraund on the left chest.
Cossacks knew pipes (they called them "Burulka") and often like to smoke ...

At their time in the 17th Century they often used a tobacco pouch model looked like this:A small leather bag , which was closed with Stoke in fabric or leather , which expired in tassels .
Here such a bag is mapped to a Ukrainian stamp ... :

I chose a very reddish ( leather ) material , which is painted with these colors... :

40. Day, 17. December 2013

Today iI paint blue again, its the area between the tresses, which are under the leather straps on the belly.

Once again I have tried to work in these tiny areas with lights and shadows - even though each time I almost break my fingers, it's worth it when you see the finished result...:

With the tresses itself I will continue tomorrow ...

Thanks a lot, Marc!(y)

41. Day, 18. December 2013

Well, the last tresses are painted - again with the "shimmer effect".

The difference between "shimmer" and "metallic shine" is good to be seen at the buttons, which of course I painted as a "full metal"...:

42. Day, 19. December 2013

Today, a few minor corrections here and there - and then I have painted blue the last "segment", which was still missing.

Although details depend because later about it, it's better to have the "segmant" painted, I think ...:

Our friend is now ready up to his sash ...

43. Day, 23. December 2013

Today I started with the sash .
I have decided to show dark green, gold-embroidered fabric.

I have picked out for me these colors here, where Black comes only to a very small proportion used ... :

43_1_zpscd1406fe.jpg

Then I have touched all kinds of light and dark mixtures of different colors , sometimes with gold , sometimes without , sometimes with more gold and even pure gold.
43_2_zpsbf3cfdcd.jpg

Today sashes segment I painted with many small and very small points - the whole thing consists only points and no single brush down!

Where light falls down , I spotted more pure gold than in other places.

So it looks like now ... :
