Wow $350 I think the original price was $150. The FD Mounted Sioux was a very popular piece as well. 120mm has always been my fav scale so now I pick up anything in that scale for a bargain (but not $350 :) )

Cheers

Ray

I think you may still be able to get the FD Mounted Sioux from John's Models. They acquired some of the originals from FD in 2003. It was featured in their catalogue some years ago.

The Legends mounted Mongol archer took me some years to get it.

The Holy Grail figures for me are:

Martin Dietrich, 70mm - Fort Duquesne
Private 95th Rifles, 90mm - Almond Sculptures
Chinese Boxer, 90mm - Historical Miniatures/Mike Good
Robin Hood, 54mm - La Fortezza
US Cavalry, 100mm - SCAHMS figure

The Almond figure sometimes comes up on eBay but the others seem to be very rare - hope I can get them all someday.

I might be interested in the Donald Sutherland bust Brian if you are looking to offload it. But I am more than happy to let Paul have first dibs, seeing as he expressed an interest first and it's on his wish-list.

Hi Del - Is this the figure you were thinking about?
This one was painted by me in enamels about 30 years ago  and is a little dusty. . .

Cheers

That's the very one Paul. Certainly of its period but still stands up well as a convincing representation of a youngster. Could see it based beside a lance frame at a tournament.
A very decent paint job given its age, it's a model that would benefit from todays products.
Thanks so much for posting (y)

I think that the closest thing I had to a holy grail was EMI's 54mm Stradiotto but I am happy to say that with the help of some very kind PF members I managed to find it some time ago.

Oda.
