Hi,
I was wondering if anyone out there recognized this bust...

DSCF1165.JPG

It came already started and came in just a clear baggie.
I've searched the internet but can't find any good info on it.
I know it's Napoleonic and is probably a lancer. It came with a plume that appears to mount to the left side of the helmet and a "horse tail" attached to the back.
But I think there is something missing at the top of the helmet. Just can't find anything that shows it well.
Of course, colors would help too :) I know nothing about this era .
If anyone can help me out I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Craig

Hi Craig,
the bust is definately from Le Cimier with a moustache added on. Check on their website I am sure you will finf him.
There should be a couple of plumes and a horse hair comb.
Regards
Pete

Sorry to disappoint you Brad :)

Pete...I have the big plume and the comb, just missing the small one that goes on top.
I'm going to contact Le Cimier to see if I can buy a replacement for it.
Thanks for the help :)
Craig

He could be a Carabinier. Helmet looks like the Minerva style. Osprey has a title for French Cuirassiers and Carabiniers.

:)

Thanks Melanie.
Searching on Le Cemier's title of Dragon del la Garde got me some great pictures of the helmet...

And the photo you posted should serve me as a good guide for the uniform color.
Thanks,
Craig :)
