Now that is a lovely figure, a must have. Looks like Carl has done it again as I am sure this one will be a winner.
His face is wonderful and the clothing looks stunning. Love it.
Lovely paint job by Danilo!

reminds me a little of the one by Thunderbird miniatures that Carl also did. Does anyone know if they Are of the same time period and could be put together in a little scene? i really like the looks of this guy.

Another Beaut Carl, painting is always made easier by a great sculpt, and no-one is better with Indians, your love of the subject always come through. I'm sure this will be a winner for La Meridiana.

Hi Zlobov,

As I'm sure you know The Apaches are very different from the Plains Indians, not least by the costume they wore. They were heavily influenced by the White settlers as you can see by the clothes they wore as a result of trade.

Prior to this they did wear a lot of buckskin like the Plains Indians.

The leggings depicted in the piece are cotton leggings, I believe the were called Drawings.
They just basically looped over the belt that held the Breechclout, and hung loose.
The individual Apache would loop the leggings where he felt comfortable, also you have to take into account that the movement of the body would shift the loop to find it's natural resting place.

I hope this explains it little.

Carl
