Hello Everybody,

I've just finished my latest project - the 200mm Arabian Knight bust from Youngs Miniatures. He was very, very enjoyable to paint, and was painted exclusively in oils.
There is also a highly detailed step by step that covers the entire painting process including all the freehands, textures, metals, and face painting that can be found here.

Thanks for looking!
-Phil

WOW!! ...and WOW!! again.
What a wonderful example of superb precision painting Phil.
Very, very well done.

Cheers,
Andrew

Fanastic job Phil and a great SBS to boot. My only comment is that for a personage of fairly high standing vis-a-vis his dress and armour, I would think his leatherwork would be fancy too (dyed morocco leather? possibly tooled too) not worn, although saying that I love how you have achieved the worn effect.

Fantastic work Phil and an enjoyable, informative SBS. A real stand out piece, so what's next through your talented hands?

Simon
Thank you Simon. As far what's next, there are two projects - one a 75mm crusader from Pegaso that was released years ago, and a 75mm vignette from N-S productions. I'm continuing on with the crusader/Saracen theme...

Thank Melanie - I'm glad you enjoyed the SBS. I'd have to agree with you there regarding the leather - he probably would've had something fancier... maybe on the next one!

Perfection once again, Phil. Thanks for the SBS, very well done and thorough. Oilers Rock!
Thanks Steve... and yes Oiler do rock... there is nothing better to get you through a long freehand session like Iron Maiden! (Which is what was on during every painting session for this bust 🤣)
