Geoff - Im sure either are correct! I edited my post just to say that the photo I worked from (my uncle Bill!) had red badges, but maybe one of the former matelots on here will come forward with some definitive information! Lovely job, though, regardless!(y)

Hi Geoff

Nearly finished .....blooming heck !

Looking good as well, those white ones especially

You will have the other (Tubby) finished by the time I have done my RAF one !

Thanks, I was pleased how the white stripes came out, it will be nice to get back to khaki for the next one.

I ordered a couple more busts on Friday from that nice man at El Greco, so hopefully they will be here Tues/Wed.

Now added the pipe.

And changed the colour of the Leading Stoker badge.

Just now need to get some hardwood to make some more bases, so a trip up to Somerset coming up.

You must be going to Yandles at martock, lovely place for offcuts of wood, I gets me olive wood from them. Very nice painting, look forward to Tubby

Hi Geoff

Your off again !!! .......I do 2 badges you do 1/2 of a bust !!!...lol

PS will you base these separately or all together ?

A bit of dry-brushing this morning and a touch up of his left eye, happy with him.

The Artist's oils should dry duller so the slight sheen hopefully go.

It might be the one on the right, a Hessian Jaeger of 1780 from the American Independence period from Artist Preservation Group. I got these two from El Greco. I love his face.

Thanks mate, I do like the Indian Army, just wish there were more of them.

It's not a car it's a coach that I have to change the livery from the bought one to an old Newbury one that was run by a friend's father.
